Titania Henderson - Williamstown Festival Contemporary Art Prize Finalists 2011 Catalogue.

Williamstown Festival Contemporary Art Prize

It has been my absolute pleasure to curate The Williamstown Festival Contemporary Art Prize in 2010. We had a record number of applications which showed the diversity of contemporary art practice on offer. This exhibition showcases artists from Australia and internationally, who are innovative, contemporary in practice and who are pushing boundaries, materials and techniques. It is art which reflects all aspects of contemporary life and acts a mirror for our society. It fills the soul, raises questions, and informs our minds.

On behalf of the Williamstown Festival Committee I would like to thanks all our sponsors and supporters who made this exhibition possible. These are people share a vision for a vibrant cultural Australia.

My inspiration for creating Sculptural form stems from a deep interest in people and cultures.

Creating has become a process with which I develop a dialogue between life and art, a way to express the things I see, feel and experience. I am constantly exploring form, void, line, light, fragility and vulnerability.
